We recommend minimal sun exposure during the peeling process. If you plan to be outdoors be sure to wear a zinc sunscreen, hat and keep your face as shaded as possible. As the skin peels away, the skin underneath is new and healthy and can be more sensitive to sun exposure.
CAN I WORK OUT DURING THE PEELING PROCESS?
A light workout is fine after a few days but excess sweating will prevent the skin from properly peeling. Hot yoga and saunas are not recommended while peeling.
WHAT WILL THE PEELING PROCESS BE LIKE?
The day of the application your skin will feel warm. After a few days the skin will be tight and begin to peel. Expect lots of sloughing but there will be no pain. For some patients, the skin that is peeling will darken but the new skin underneath will be healthy and pink.
